Explore LIguria,

the Italian Riviera

A picturesque land between the sea and the mountains - full of colorful houses and breathtaking views. It hosts multiple towns, each with its own charm. With a unique cuisine, it’s home to pesto, focaccia, and pansotti di noci.

SANTA MARGHERITA

The home base for our events, Santa Margherita, is a Ligurian fishing village turned coastal resort with one of the nicer beachfronts in the riviera. It has a 16th century castle, Castello di Santa Margherita Ligure, still standing which you can visit its elevated turrets. You can take a walking tour of the 14th-century abbey, La Cervara, which can be found on the walk to Portofino. Villa Durazzo, one of the best known villas of the many in the area, is another spot to explore, as it offers tours of it's lush, extensive gardens.

The Cinque Terre

Stretching 15 km along the Italian Riviera coast between Levanto and La Spezia in northwestern Italy, Cinque Terre is a steep seaside landscape that humans have transformed with stone walled terraces for growing grape vines and olive trees. There are no cars in the Cinque Terre, instead visitors walk or take trains between the five towns.
For Cinque Terre tours we have a recommended guide in Italy you can contact (through WhatsApp).

Portofino

A short 40 minute walk away from Santa Margherita, Portofino is one of the most popular towns in the riviera. It’s known for is luxurious yachts that drop anchor in it’s bay, and is a place where celebrity sightings aren’t uncommon. To walk from Santa Margherita you can follow the Passeggiata dei Baci (walk of kisses), named for it’s numerous, breathtaking, panoramas.

Camogli

While Camogli may not be the largest or most popular of the riviera towns, it's known by the locals as the most beautiful, leading to it often being called the best kept secret of the area. Almost every building in Camogli is painted a bright, vibrant color. It's small boat port, long beach promenade, and pretty clock tower make it one of the best places to take scenic pictures. If you're looking to do some hiking be sure to check out the various walks you can do from Camogli to other towns and areas, such as the Camogli to San Fruttuoso hike.

Sestri Levante

One of Trish and Marco’s favorite towns Sestri Levante is about 30 minutes drive / train from Santa Margherita and is known for having the nicest beach. This famous beach sits in the Baia del Silenzio, a little bay in from the sea which is surrounded by bars and restaurants.

Food

You can start in the morning with a cappuccino and fresh focaccia. For lunch, you can try the local pastas such as pesto or panzotti de noci, a vegetable-stuffed ravioli in walnut sauce. For dinner, there are even more options such as fresh seafood, pizza, and more.
